What will next week’s outrage issue be?

A very clear pattern has emerged with the Obama administration. Outrage seems to be the order of the day. An issue comes to light and as soon as it does. The angry back and forth begins. For example:

· Tax Problems of the Obama appointees.
· Extreme spending of the stimulus and omnibus spending bills
· AIG executive bonuses.
· Janet Napolitano’s report on right wing extremists and her remarks made to Canadian officials
· Obama flip-flopping on possible prosecutions of the Bush administration over harsh interrogations
.
These are small example of the issues that have hit and cause lots of the noise for a little while. Instead of having a rational debate, the debate turns into name calling, personal attacks, and just plain childishness. Then the next issue hits and more debate and outrage happens with no solution to the previous issue. With all of the outrage and argument, what is really going on?

Keeping the people outraged and angry is a tactic used by many dictators of the past. With the people’s emotions stirred up, they rarely realized the activities of the government until it was too late. My fear is that this is all an orchestrated political game of distraction to keep us from figuring out the really big things that are being done.
